lets say your hunting buddy shoot a deer in the guts and you wait 1 hour, then he call you to sit on the edge of a field incase it runs out while he goes and looks for it. the buck comes out by you and you drop it, who's is it????

Man there must be some hungry hunters around this year. Give him the thing and shoot another one. IMO you have rights to the deer, you dropped it. But you were asked to do a favor for him , do it or dont.

His. Bottom line he asked you to come and help him. So if you shoot it dead, then you are helping him. Would you have killed that deer if he had not asked you to come and help him? No. Do the right thing and let him have his deer.

I would definitley give it up to your friend, but always keep in mind that you helped him not only bag the buck but also gave the deer the respect enough not to let it suffer.

Now that I got that streight, the story is, my lady gut shot her first deer ever and my step dad was looking for one of my moms, so he was in the area. called him told him to watch thecorner while I took a look. sure enough he got up and ran right to him and he put him down with one shot. There was no question between me and my step dad, however, she doesn't think it is hers because he killed it even though she got the first shot and it was just about dead. We waited 1 hour before going in, I would have waited the rest of the day if he wasn't in the area. nice 8 point, 16inside spread. I am still proud of her and she wants to get another one all by her self so can't complain about a lady that wants to hunt.
