Took this guy last weekend in South Dakota.

Not too great of a story, but.. He was the first deer I saw on Saturday morning and he was with a doe. They were in the middle of a pasture and he bedded down and she was about to too. They were about a half-mile upwind of me and I was thinking about making a stalk. Well another buck must have got wind of the doe, and came running out from a shelterbelt. This guy chased him off and the doe took off running to the shelterbelt and the buck followed her. So I got back with my group and told them what happened and we decided to push the trees and they set me up where they thought he would run. Turns out that he went a different direction, and ended up in a sunflower field for the day. The next day I went to the same spot, didn't see much that morning, a couple of small bucks with their does. My buddies walked the trees quick before I left my spot and he came out of the same trees, basically on the same route as the day before. I was set up closer this time. He wasn't running real hard and I yelled at him 3-4 times to try to get him to stop. Well he didn't stop so I had to shoot him on the run, somehow I put a good shot on him and got both lungs. I was pleased with the deer, and very happy we got good pictures of him. On top of that, my brother shot a nice deer the same morning. So it was a great day.

Great story, great deer and an awsome picture!!! Where about in SD were ya? We had some great luck this year in Hand Co.

Hunting Faulk county. Southwest of Faulkton. The landowner has tons of land, we had 18,000 + acres to hunt. We ended up getting 4 nice bucks last weekend. I think there are still 3 Anydeer tags to fill. I am heading back down there tonight, he wants the deer around the farm shot, so I am going to try to take one with my bow, and I still have a doe tag for my rifle, so I may just fill that too.
