RE: chew?
I use Copenhagen long cut. Used to use the snuff. I chew all the time, hunting or not. I don't spit, but gut it. My grandpa always said "if you ain't man enough togut it, you ain't man enough to chew it. I have chewed as long as I have hunted so I can't compare, however I shoot 5-6 deer a year, so it can't spook much if any.

RE: chew?
I dip Grizzly wintergreen myself, but try my best to not do it in the stand. I am still very new to deer hunting and didn't know if it would hurt. LOL... As green as I am I know I am making all kind of rookie mistakes and didn't want to add this one to the list...lol .... I feel a lot better about it now... Good post!
BTW ... My neighbor/hunting buddy always snags a big hunk of Red Man before heading into the woods. I should of know it doesn't matter to terribly much seeing how he has bagged his fair share of deer in his 30 years.

I've always got adip of cope lc in while im on stand. Helps to pass the time and keep the nerves in check. I havent seen any evidence at all that it bothers deer. I'll keep on dipping merrily while i hunt. As far as gutting it making you a real man bologna. A man isnt judged by if he guts snuff he's judged by his actions and the way he carries himself. Gutting tears ur stomach up anyways I have enough stomach trouble as it is I dont need that to contribute.
