Good Treestands?
Hi all, this is my first post here although probably not my last, I am addicted to hunting. I am thinking about buying a new ladder stand to hunt with and I have only bought one before, we build permanent stands for the most part. So I was wondering what I should be looking for or any suggestions you have. Thanks

RE: Good Treestands?
I know I'm getting a Summit Viper SS climber. That way I can take it wherever I go hunting.

RE: Good Treestands?
Most ladder stands are good. But if your going to be far back into the woods with no way to drive in there, then the climbers/hang ons are the best for you.
I have one of these http://www.gandermountain.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?i=402510&pdesc=Gander_Mountain_Mag num_XL_17_Ladder_Treestand&cname=Ladder-Stands&aID=503H4&merchID=4006&r=view And two of these http://www.gandermountain.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?i=402509&pdesc=Gander_Mountain_Bas ic_15_Ladder_Treestand&cname=Ladder-Stands&aID=503H4&merchID=4006&r=view But you can pretty much get whatever you want. Welcome to the forums.:D |
RE: Good Treestands?
I like a heavier built all aluminum, all welded ladder stand. Most of the ones I have are built with two inch conduit with smaller conduit for bracing/steps. The last four I bought I had the builder make a simple frame to put an aluminum roofing top on it. I use camo tarp aroundthe back and a camo burlap on the front. Welcome to the board.......
