Here is a Clay County IL 11 point that got a little to close to the highway. They owner of the car that it smashed up didnt want it so I snagged it up. To pretty of a buck not to be on a wall somewhere. Got a bonus also. The backstraps were undamaged! Check out the huntingnet hat!

yea a shame he got hit by a car though.... whats with the cop car? the deer didn't seem very beaten up...by the way nice hat! :D

That is my squad. Its pretty sweet. The back end of the deer was really mushy. Couldnt save any of the meat off of it.

Your gonna put a deer YOU didn't kill on the wall? I wouldn't do that. Unless you had a history with the buck. But I guess that's just my opinion.

I don't see anything wrong with him putting it on his wall. Wouldn't it be the same as if he found sheds and had them mounted? One of the record book non-typicals from missouri was from someone who found sheds in a field, He claimed the buck, its his.

It should be displayed, its a nice buck.

Do a European mount....still looks great, and it don't cost you a penny (if you do it yourself). I personally wouldn't actually mount one that I didn't kill, but do know some folks that have done it. I have several nice Euro mounts that have been finds. Definitely a nice deer :D

Now if it was a record book type deer....I would definitely consider doing a mount.

I plan on mounting him. I love the double throat patch. I didnt kill the deer but it sure does lift my spirits after shooting a 160 inch deer last week and not finding it. It will make a good conversation piece for me and my buddies to enjoy.

nice buck...i would still mount it my grandpa hit a big 12 pointer a few years back and didnt hesitate to mount it. although a european mount would still be a great nice looking money saving alternative
