OntElk 11-17-2008 02:20 PM big bodied bruiser   Managed to drop one of the bucks I was hunting. This is a guy I passed on last year. My trail cam showed he had hardly grown at all. He is huge bodied deer with a pot belly so I figured he could come out of the gene pool if given the chance ;) 12 noon a doe came out stomping and snorting at something behind her. It was him :D I doubled lunged him and he ran just under 100 yds but left only one drop of blood. Couldn't figure out why the exit wound didn't throw it everywhere but I actually panicked that I had a miss. Anyway this is not the big racked buck I was after but an old mature northern ontario whitetail that dressed out at over 240lbs.
