Proud daddy!!!
 

My 9 year old son scored big this Sat. It is his second season hunting with a gun and this was his second opening day. Last year he killed a nice doe and this year he killed a doe and a 5 point buck. The doe he shot broad side at 40 yards and dropped her in her tracks. The buck was again a 40 yard shot standing broad side and he shot and the buck spun and dropped. It then got away from us and we almost gave up the track. We found blood for about 50 yards and then it went dry. Three of us walked for hours and when we were driving out we found the deer laying on the edge of the path. I was so proud of my son, he made two great shots with his 20 gauge #2 buck Federal Premium.

PS I only have pictures on my cellphone right now and I do not know how to get them off. My digital camera went dead and the only pictures we have are on a 35 mm that the guy has not gotten developed yet. If anyone can post pictures from their cellphone and is willing I could text them to you to add to this thread. Thanks if not we will just post them later.

Thanks, it was a great day. My son is still very excited. He asks everyday are we taking the deer to the Tax, it is still in the deep freeze.

if ur going to get it mounted u should do it asap bc the hair begins to fall off the cape easier the longer u wait.
