$375 - $450 is the going rate around here. You get what you pay for....don't go for the cheapo!

Most people have no idea what a quality mount actually looks like, even some "taxidermists"!

I just dropped this buck off a couple of weeks ago to my guy. His name is Jack Smith from Bicknell IN and he is a Master Taxidermist and does outstanding work. Price for a full straight up shoulder mount is $445. My brother and bloodcrick use a guy close to them who does excellent work and is about a $100 cheaper.

I pay $400. My taxi. prices keep going up but he is getting more into quantity and his quality has dropped. I'm looking for a new Taxi.

The guy I use is up to 495.00 this year and if he goes up to 700.00 I will still used him because his work and detail is that good .

The deer I'm getting done this year is costing me $450. My cousin helps him skin the heads and whatnot. He does a great job though. I agree that you get what you pay for for the most part.
