RE: full moon question

Well according to my current issue of Deer and Deer Hunting Magazine you should have amazing luck. They say that this full moon is one of the things that really kick starts the rut. The second full moon after the autum equinox is called the rutting moon. I don't know that luck has anything to do with it. Deer biology might be at play a little more. ;)

well most magazines arent specific to certian regions and locations w/in said regions so becarefull bout what you put stock into... the deer might start ruttin now in Illinois but it wil be another few weeks till mississippi or florida sees it

RE: full moon question

According to Charles Alsheimer this holds true north of the 35th parallel. In the south thingscan be muchdifferent. Here is a link to his rut predictions for this year. http://www.deeranddeerhunting.com/article/Rut2008/Yeah things can change based on your location. Weather and hunters can cause a huge shift in when the rut happens, butfor the most part the rut in the north should be in full swing.
