My buddy called last night and told me he couldn't come to camp this season. His Mom (who lives in FL) fell and broke her hip. In addition, she suffered a stroke last year.So he's going to take his vacation time to go down and help her out. Out of him and his 2 sisters he is the one always willing to tend to family matters. I told him that it is all cool & we'll really miss him but family comes FIRST especially when it comes to stuff like this and we'll pray for him.

But I'm gonna miss that guy at camp. Kinda won't be the same without his laugh. And when we hit the bar & grill, who'll buy second round. Man that's really gonna screw up the schedule.

Im sorry to hear it. Its good that he chose his poor mother over the hunting trip, but yeah, I know how ya feel. This will probably be the year you get your biggest buck, ya never know! That might make things a lil better for ya

Sounds like your buddy is a really good guy. I'm sorry to hear he can't make it. You're right though, family does come first. I hope my kids would do the same for me some day if I needed it.

Putting his mother first this year means he deserves to get a monster buck next year.
