Default East Texas 8-point down!

Dad shot this 8-point Friday evening on the way to his stand!
He made a 100+ yard shot off-handed with the buck standing in high grass (up to the deer’s mid-chest). The hair is getting whiter, but he can still shoot! The 3.5 year old 8-point had a 16 inch inside spread. He scored out at 112 ¾ inches.

Don't get me wrong that is a nice deer, but I question the age being 3.5 (rack is thin and spindly) and the score being much more then 100 (rack is thin and spindly).

That's not saying I would not have pulled the trigger on him.

Age and score this one teedub! I minored in Wildlife Management at SFASU. He's not a monster by any means but he is 3.5 years old and he does score 112.75. To the rest of you, thanks. Dad was happy with him and is planning on doing a European mount. He was killed in Houston County.
