sights

I have a Remmington 870 12 Ga. with a ribbed barrel. It only has the bead sight at the end of the barrel. I am unable to afford a new riffled barrel this year. What I am wondering is this: is there an attachment that would fit onto the ribbing of my existing ribbed barrel that I could mount to it and then adjust it to sight it in. If not, anyone ever have this problem and came up with some kind of fix? Other than the obvious, buying a new barrel.

they make rifled sights that attach to the rib of your barrel

They do? I have looked at Dick's and other places and never saw any. I would have bet my last $$ that they did, just never saw them. Any idea where I might get them?

Yep, they make fiber optic sights the clamp right to the rib. They work pretty nice. Mostly used for turkey hunting but you can use them for slugs as well. I did it with my Mossberg 500 and was pretty happy with them. Get some decent ones though, the cheap ones are pretty chintzy.

I actually got a set at Walmart once. I would bet Gander Mountian, Bass Pro or even your local gun store would carry some. The ones I got at walmart came as a package deal with a turkey choke as well. They were kind of cheesy though, the other set I got was around 40 bucks and they were a bit nicer.
