Bad breath and farts are 2 problems that alot of folks don't think of. No gassy foods a couple days before the hunt. I also use a scent eliminator gum.

I wash the clothes, all that good stuff you guys mentioned above. I usually don't put on my clothes til i get to where i'm hunting. I'll wear base layers, then put my camo on. Spray down, and I'm always....ALWAYS atleast 25-30ft up in the tree when i'm bowhunting.

Breath is the number one flag. I bet at least half of the people on here don't even floss. Nothing like rotting meat and other food stuckbetween your teeth for days that the deer will smell with every breath......

I shower before I go hunting .
I use no scent soap , shampoo , and deodorent .
I wash my clothes periadicaly thru the season using no scent or addditive soaps .
I then always keep my hunting clothes in a sealed bag .
After I get to my wood lot I spray myself down with scent killers .
If after I reach my stand If get hot or warm I usualy spray some extra scent killer .
Every since I started bow hunting I am very scent controled .
Even my rifle I use no scent oils and cleaners .

Your pre game ritual is much like mine. I have found wearing rubber hunting boots helps to keep my scent trail down when I'm going to my stand. I have had mature bucks follow my exact trail and never catch my scent. I also spray my boots whether rubber or leather with coon urine. Sounds crazy but deer don't seem to pay any attention to where I've walked.

I have used special soaps, shampoos, and cover scents. I have also used regular soaps, shampoos, and no cover scents.
I can't tell any difference. Still see about the same number of deer. My conclusion is that you can't effectively eliminate human scent, so use the wind to your advantage.
