If I'm hunting in a rifle state, then it's my Ruger 77 300 WM. Here in ohio, I use my Browning Gold slug gun, 1.5-5X scope,with 300 Gr. Hornady SST's. That is, if I have any tags left by gun season !

I'm kinda torn between 2:
Marlin 336 30-30 with a Millet 1-4x24 IR
Tikka T3 in .338 Federal with a Nikon Monarch 3-9x40
I love my 30-30, but have been letting a brother use it the last few years. I just put the Millet on there and want to try it out in the woods and see how I like it for shooting game.
I've been using the Tikka and really like it, but haven't had a chance to make a kill with it yet.
