does anyone know what it would take to get started in that line of work?

Check out your state's Natural Resources website. They have stuff like that.

in ohio u need a two year associates degree in a natural resouces program, thats what im working towards, most other states require at least a bachlors degree

depends on the state. in OK you have to have a bachelor degree in conservation/wildlife bio/management something along those lines. and then once you get a job you will ahfta go through cleet training. thats most likely what i am working towards. either that or state biologist

In California you go thru the same academy as police officers, as DFG wardens here are the same as State Police, they just work for DFG.

In most states you need a 2 year associates degree. Not sure what their pre reqs are, but I think its the same as the Police Science pre reqs.

I believe you can forget about hunting, since you will be working during all the hunting seasons.
