Dad put one down!!
We have been getting pictures of a nice buck but never could set eyes on him, every picture we had was at night. This past Sunday Dad was sitting in the blind when this buck stepped out at 8:20 am. Sun up and already getting warm, go figure. The rubs and scrapes are reall hot in the area and the younger bucks have been moving a lot the past 2 weeks. We thought it would be just a matter of time when this guy would come out cruising during the daylight. Sure enough, dad caught him cruisingdown adraw/rubline about 100 yards from the blind. It didn't take long for him to decide to put the crosshairs on him and put a perfect double lung shot on him with the smokepole. I rough scored him at 142'' and he dressed out at 200 lbs. This is the biggest bodied deer we have taken off our place to date, and it is also my dad's biggest buck so far. I am proud of him and hope you all enjoy the pics:
