I have had good luck with a rattle bag. Easier to carry and sounds enough like the real thing to work OK. Probably nothing like the real thing but they are too hard to carry for a tracking still hunter. The bag sits right in my game pouch or fanny pack and is always there and ready to use.

I have not noticed a difference in deer response from real antlers to rattle bag/fake antlers, so I use a rattle bag (albeit occassionaly).

i use real, but i understand the advantages of a rattle bag; im quite confused though as to why anyone would use fake antlers. i mean they are still hard to carry and they dont sound as good imo. ive always thought this when i see them at bass pro, any thoughts??

I have a pair of the fake ones, never use them anymore and they really don't sound that good. A pain in the AZZ to carry to be sure.Another issue is one of danger. In a crowded public setting I shudder to think about clashing any type antler together, raking trees etc. That rattle bag really works and is a part of my hunt no matter where I am hunting.

Bag, easier to carry and easier to control. You can use them with one hand if you want to.
