Default Rut Time in Indiana?

Anyone thats in Indiana notice that it seems like the ruts almost in full swing. I've noticed a ton of bucks chasein does every where. It's about 2 weeks to early for this i thought

yup, lots of bucks chasing right now. Too bad we gotta wait until the 15th.

What part of IN??? Up North we have not seen any running. It's been very slow.

I live a just few milesnorth ofCorydon, I think I have ya beat...

I honestly haven't seen very many deer so far this year, but I'm hoping the pace picks up by next weekend.

I'm not sure where you're at, but I've seen bucks on does for 2 weeks now in NE Indiana. Both on our family farms here in Adams County, and our hunting lease in Steuben County. In Steuben, we've had good rubs and scrapes for several weeks...and smaller bucks chasing does daily. The 12pt I shot last week was definately in his rutting stage..lol.

I think I have you all beat I am from Evansville and I saw a 6pt running after a doe last night.

I'VE ONLY SEEN A VERY VERY SMALL 3PT BUCK THIS YEAR AND HE WASN'T CHASEING ANYTHING , COME TO THINK OF IT I'VE ONLY SEEN 4-5 DOE'S THIS YEAR NOT HAVE A CLUE WHATS GOING .i HOPE IT PICKS UP SOON LIKE WED. NIGHT I PLANE ON GOING THEN .I HUNT IN DUBOIS COUNTY.
