Find there food source, and find there bedding area. Walk everywhere in between them. Check any ditches, or fencesthey have to cross the jolt when they jump sometimes knocks off there horns. Another thing You can do is take a piece of chicken wire about 4 foot long, and stretch it between 2 trees, and nail it up to where the bottom is about 6-8 inches off the ground. Then put corn directly underneath the chicken wire. The bucks go to eat under the wire, and the antlers hit the fence, and sometimes get knocked off. Just a few ideas for You.

Get you a Lab. I have read numerous articles bout how good these dogs have been at shed hunting.

No good experiences with shed hunting, so I have no secrets I could share to benefit you. The ones I have found, were stumbled across while out scouting.

Sorry!

Haha its funny You say that. I have a black lab named bella that I trained to shed hunt. I would just take some of My sheds out, and put them in the woods where I knew where they were, and then take Her out and let Her find them. After about a year of practicing She was pretty good. She has found3 sheds so far.

burn the grass, my friends dad works at a state park where they do controlled burns, and once all that grass is black the antlers stick out shinier than ever

I can tell you this, they are hard to find. If you know where their core bedding area is, you will probably find alot there. Fence crossings are always a good spot as well. Not really any other advice but just go out and walk around.

I named Labs specifically because it seems like every article I have read concerning shed hunting dogs have been with Labs. They are some very smart dogs, too. I would love to have a chocolate or snow (white).
