Oh yea, i use mine religiously. It's my watch! LOL, I really dont wear a watch so I have no other way of keeping track off time unless I turn on my GPS. I text a good bit as well, if I have reception. It's a great way to keep up with the guys that are hunting with you. You hear a shot, then you get a text. Your buddy tells you he just shot a doe. Get ready, deer are moving your way!

we use our cell phones (Nextels) to talk back and forth on the 2 way radio. this way we can update each other if we're seeing any deer activity or if we need help tracking/dragging. ofcourse it stays on vibrate.

I always have mine with me and occasionally (if at a stand with service) will text the other hunt club members to see if they're having any lucky. I don't look at it too often as i feel that could be the five seconds that a booner comes by and i might miss him!

I have been busted twice while texting. I need to get out of the habit....both times I was sliding the phone back into my pocket when I was spotted. It just spooked them.....and I agree it takes away from the experience but necessary for emergencies..
