My younger brother just shot a deer yesterday ina stand. How long should i wait b4 i go back to the stand?

My dad shot a buck with his bow two nights before gun season a few years ago and the opening morning i shot a big buck out of it as well.

Two years ago, I hunted on the second day of gun season during the afternoon/evening in a stand that had already been used to take three deer. I took #4--my first buck, a decent bodied, small racked 8 point.

Hunt it.

Hopefully your lil bro didn't dress his deer out right under the stand on a major deer trail!!! But even if he did it may not matter, never know what may or may not have an effect on the deer in your area. We try to move them to a spot away from the stand first but I don't know if that is necessary or not.

Don't worry about that either! Get out there and hunt it! I've killed deer in the evening, over the mornings gut pile!

Yeah hunt it!! I have had two examples of this in the last two years. My friend shot a big 8point one night, i told i was going to sit there the next night, he said i was crazy- I shot a big 7pointer that outscored is 8point by alot.
The next year i shot a huge deer. dressed at 220lbs 8point, that night I sat there again after shooting a deer out there that morning and even bigger deer came in. If the stand is hot, its hot!!!
