Default Climbing Treestand

I am getting ready to buy a new treestand. I only use climbers and borrowing an API Extreme..older model. I am looking at the API Star Climber. Anyone using it? Can you tell me if the front bar comes off; converts for better use when bow hunting...thanks!![align=center]

Sorry, but I have never used an API stand. I have a Sumit Viper and Buckshot Bigshot. Both of these stands are good.

I have two API grand slams and 1 summit viper. Both are good stands, just take your pic.

I have the summit viper and it's as comfortable as it can be but I wish I'd got the summit razor b/c it's gota fold down bar for bowhunting. You can bowhunt out of the viper but close shots are tough without standing up first.

I've got the Summit Goliath and have to say i would never be without a Summit again!
It is the only stand that I can comfortablysit in all day and it is solid as a rock!

I have two older APIs both are the MAGNUM SURPREMS, excellent stand, rock solid. Summits are excellent as well, and I did have one, just like the API stands better. As far as the front bar for bowhunting, I set the seat part to be just around knee level so when I stand to shoot the bottom limb of the bow and/or cam will not hit it, got gun I set it higher and use that bar for a rest for me elbow if the deer is out in front of me

For sure go with Summit you won't regret it they are the best made, most quiet and just plain great stands
