last year I would have said 400....it is probably the same this year but I still feel good at 500. I shoot basically a stock remington 700 .30-06 so 500 is probably about the farthest I would ever go until I get a new gun and a better set up. But that is a few years and a few thousand dollars away still

I have worked hard this year and really accurized my 270 and have it shooting great groups. I have been practicing and I say I will go out to abour 400 yards but when that deer comes out and I start shaking it may only be 250. I will only take a shot I feel confident in.

i feel comfortable up to 250 yards with my .243
idk about my 30-06, i went out to scope it in this past weekend and it wont even hit a sign at 100yrds. my dad took it to get bore sighted but idk if that will help because i think it has a bad scope/mounts on it. but i hope not. i dont have any money to get it fixed right now.

Some long shooters here...
I'm good out to 450 under the right conditions, but hoping to upgrade to a true long range setup that will stretch that out to 800 or more. Out past 450-500 you enter a whole new world.
