I know the feeling of having a gutshot deer. It absolutely tears you up till ya find them lol

Well done! Just Curious? How far did he go from where you shot him. And was he near water? I have always found deer other hunters have shotafter season is over by walking creeks and ditches. I've had a couple bucks I've shot (liver) that ended up near water.
