I put some out two years ago. The deer did come to it. I never saw they at it but there was evidence they had been licking it. It's much cheaper to just go buy a 50 lb. salt block at your local feed store or dig a smal hole and fill it with a bag of rock salt. I don't know about where you are but down here, they don't use it once the weather starts turning colder. I like to put them out in the summer to supplement their diet with minerals and keep them on the lease.

I've used a couple and they work very well. I "thought" the first on was kind of melting due to rain, then I put up a trail camera. In about 3 weeks I had 117 pictures of deer using the rock including the one below. He's licking what's left of my first rock.
