RE: Hard gun case
A double case with wheels would be my suggestion. Get a case without the internal locks. Then getthe TSA approved locks. Makes your life much easier.

Any other recommendations?

RE: Hard gun case
If you are flying I would suggest a Pelican case. They are tough as nails and will protect your firearm against the most brutal luggage screener. They are expensive....but then so was your rifle. Either way spend as much time at the store messin with them to see how sturdy they are. Good luck on your hunt

make sure you get something thats solid, very solid! and dont fly united if you can avoid it. I had some one from baggage in united try to break into my gun case this year, problem was they tried it to every single one of us on the plane. Like 8 other people. they are notorious for damaging cases. The cabelas/BP wont hold up to the abuse in my opinion. Also, get some dam good locks!! be ready to open them for TSA but once they check it put those locks back on! |
RE: Hard gun case
I like my RedHead cases but I'm not too sure how well they would hold up to a careless baggage handler. I would really like to get Pelican cases but just can't justify shelling out that much loot.
