Handgun Hunting Questions
Hello All,
My question revolves around hunting deer with a muzzleloading handgun. In my home state of Indiana, the regulations state that a muzzleloading handgun must have at least a 12" barrel, be single-shot, and a .44 caliber minimum. I was thinking about finding an inexpensive pistol to fit these specifications to carry during our Mid-Nov. - Late Dec. firearms/m'loader seasons. Unfortunately, I have had a hard time finding any legal ml handguns or even kits meeting these specs... Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Thanks in advance and good luck as the pre-rut arrives and the bucks start becoming "day-walkers"... |
RE: Handgun Hunting Questions
You are looking for Traditions Buckhunter Pro in-line pistol. They came with barrels ranging from 9-15 inches. I looked around but couldnt find any, hell wallyworld use to carry them. I think they sold for $200-300 depending on finish and size. Look around, might find one for a decent price.
Also, forgot to add; if you have an Encore pistol or a Contender pistol from T/C, you can have a custom barrel made. Cost is around $300. |
