i wasnt sure if NEF made slug barrels but i love my little 20gauge single shot. Its held up 6 years pretty good. I've used it on squirrel,rabbit,dove..shoots buckshot pretty well too.Its a modified choke barrel so its got a decent spread. I love that gun dearly too. If i'm not mistaken you can get a .243 barrel for that gun also

It's hard to beat the old 870 Remington, just swap stocks or a long recoil pad as noted.

Unfortunatly, H&R will not fit a shotgun receiver w/ a centerfire barrel. Only another shotgun, ML or pistol cartridge barrel can be fitted to a shotgun receiver. If you want a gun that is capable of using all the barrels in their barrel accessory program, you must buy an H&R/NEF handi-rifle 1st. check out the link I posted earlier in the thread for available barrels.

Thanks for the input guys!! I own a Rem. 870 Express shot gun. The price is up there, but you can't beat the reliability. I do like those single shot H&R's or similar. I held one at a local shop and it seemed a bit heavy for my son. I would probably love it though! Thanks again guys.

I own one 20guage- H&R 20g slug gun.

This thing is amazing. It shoots extremely flat and is good out to at least200 yards. I have mine fitted with a Nikon 2-7x scope. The only thing I miss is the zoom of a 9x scope.

I dont get out with firearms much, as I am predominently a bowhunter, but when I do- I've either got my H&R or my TC Omega.
+1 H&R will outshoot the rem's and mossy's anyday!
