Oiling Rifle

I know you should oil your rifle when in storeage but what about when you rgoing to the range or huntinga few days after cleaning?

I oil my gun after I use it in the field, even if I dont shoot it, at the range, after a hunt, and before storing for the season.

I always clean and oil my rifles after use. A little bit of oil is good, but too much of it is bad.
Before use, I wipe it and pass a dry patch through the barrel.

Same routine....I don't swab the shotguns before first use after cleaning...just my rifles.
I've started fogging my barrel interiors with Remington DriLube with Teflon. No runs or drips to worry about when storing them in my safe vertically. Too much oil is definitely a bad thing (especially for any contact on your fine wood stocks).
