Actually we don't have any tunes at deer camp other than whats in our vehicle. I'd rather set around and talk, listen to the coyotes, and give each other sh!t. |

If I am camping, no music. Just the sound of the campfire crackling, the wind and the coyotes. Don't get me wrong, I love music. It's just that manmade sounds from electrical devices just kind of mess up the outdoors/camping ambience for me. If someone had a guitar along, that would be ok though. :D

some good ol' country, a little bit of classic and the latest.
Most of the time I invision sitting around a campfire talking to guys after an evenings hunt, so in that case I probably wouldn't listen to anything at all. |

Usually it's a little Rodney Carrington, most of you probably know the short song ******* and beer? Then it's King George, Garth and other country favorites. But definately only country for us.
Great thread!! I love the threads that put a smile on my face thinking about some good ole times! |
RE: Camp Fire Music
Nothin like some bluegrass to give me happy feet;even though I probably walked my butt off looking for the mighty elusive whitetale. Some Tobasco Donkeys or Old Crow Medicine Show will do the trick.

Do yourself a favor, go to youtube.com and search "Show them to me" by Rodney. If you like country, you'll laugh you behind off! Being a city boy, I have to second just hearing the Coyotes yelp. For someone who doesn't hear them that often, its a great sound. Except the once in a while when we shoot a deer and let him lay overnight, then its the worst sound in the world! Country is our prefered choice if were inside shooting the breeze inside, but outside, the crackling of the fire and the coyotes is all we need. |
