RE: best climber!!!

I've tried several and have a Summit also, but the best comfort, light weight climber I have is based on the old Buckshot design a lot like the old Warren & Sweat climbers. It faces the tree, making a handy rest for shooting also, and the tree gives you a lot of camouflage.

I'm like everyone else and really like the summit stands. My girlfriend and I both have a viper ss and they are really nice and light weight. She can get up and down faster then I can.

I just purchased a Baby Lite by Timbertall, but did not received it yet. Lightweight (only 12 lbs). Read some good reviews about it. It was NIB on eBay for about $315 delivered.

I've been hunting with a Summit Open Shot for the past few seasons now. Not very big but it is still comfortable. Also, at 14 lbs, its easy to carry. Wouldn't want anything else.

ORIGINAL: RugerM77.270

I have an Oldman treestand climber and I love it. Its big comfortable and holds all my 265#.
I must secong this. The Ol' Man by far has my vote. I would recommend getting the Ol' Man Vision or Grand Vision if you're a big guy. With the vision you can flip it over so you could have either a foot rest or a shooting rail. They are quite, easy to carry and VERY safe. I feel safer in this stand than any other climber. I can try to find their website if you need it.

Summit is #1. I have the summit viper and my only complaint is its too comfortable making it difficult to stay awake.

Had an API for years and loved it but I left it outside all winter and the chains rusted a little. Instead of spending 45$ for repalcement chains, I bought a summit bushmaster from cabelas for 150$ on sale. At first I didnt think it climbed as smooth as the API but with a little practice this summer, I get up & down pretty easily now. Its also more comfy a little quicker to set up.

I got my first climbing this year to use on Quantico got it at wal-mart its a wolverine (gorilla) for 115. played with it at my job not to hard to use not sure how to use a pack with it. i guess I will put it on the stand some how. Just little weird to get use to I have been using ladder stands for so long.

I got me a timber cruiser and am just now learning how to use it. It's not that bad but I need to practice climbing some more and practice packing it in and out before I head out with it to hunt. It's a Field and Stream Elite Light or something or other. It weighs 21 pounds but doesn't feel like it. These climbers are pretty cool!
