single deer

When a deer is alone does that usually mean that it is a button buck? When does the mother usually kick the button bucks out?

i'm not sure when, but most of the time it will be a nubbin buck that enters a food plot first or first seen at the feeder.

could be a yearling doe or buck as well... around here the fawns get kicked out during the rut, but stick with her after that for awhile yet

It surely look and acted like yearling buck. I thought that the mother didnt kick them out this early. Got to watch these guys can be mistaken for a doe.

It could definitely be a button buck. It is about this time of year that they, like other bucks, distance themselves from the herd and begin their months of bachelorhood. Of course, a button buck isn't going to be acting as dominant or arrogant as an older buck
