Little Brother's First Bow Kill!!
I posted this on the bowhunting forum but thought I'd post it here too.
What a morning! October 4th, on our small farm in Southeast Indiana.. The morning started with a few hens flying down from the roost within 15 yards scaring the crap out of me. Isat in aset where I saw 4 does and a young buck on October first, but saw only one doe at about 60 yards. I watched the hens and another group of turkeys "putt" around for about 45 minutes and suddenly I heard what sounded like a car crashing through the woods, followed by a "YEAH!" Coming from my brother's stand. I instantly started shaking as if I had shot the deer. The deer crashed hard and the noise stopped. I knew he had to be freaking out so I went to his stand and told him I think I heard the deer crash where the ridge drops off and gets steep. He came down and I asked him where the deer was when he hit it, and where the last place he saw it was. We followed blood for a while then it stopped. We looked for a few minutes still without finding moreblood, so I walked ahead a little to check where I thought I heard a crash. There she was piled up in some sticker bushes. Big ol' doe. She only went about 45-50 yards from his stand over the ridge. This was his first bowhunt ever and only spent 2 hours on stand before smoking a doe at ten yards. Lucky punk, ha.. I scouted hard all summer and hung his stand based on the terrain and where I thought he'd get a good crack at oneof the does that use this trail a lot. I guess I picked a good spot. I'm so happy for him
This is the only picture we have right now. He's on the left, I'm on the right.

RE: Little Brother's First Bow Kill!!
Yea it was getting up to 70 degrees so I stopped and picked up some ice bags to shove in the body cavity. It probably would of been fine for the ride to my cousins walk-infreezer but didn't wanna take a chance.
