proud dad
it was youth season here in indiana. i told my son to remind me to look at
shooting hours when we went to willow slough (state prop.)this morning we forgot as we were leaving i called them on the phone they told me 6:15 as we got to the hunting ground planning to sit against a tree, we found that it was all grown up so we went over to my best tree climbed in,him above me where he could see better 5 min go by he ask dad how much longer i told him 10 min so at 6:15 i tell him its time 6:17 he starts coughing i look over two deer run into a wooded thickett 5 min later he starts again now im kinda getting mad saying a few things to him ,as i went on i saw him looking strait ahead and not down at me,right then and there i knew i messed up bad ,i pulled my face mask down gave him a big smile and said you done coughing and let out a little chuckle tring to redeem my self for what i had said i almost ruined my new hunting partner at 6:27 he says dad, looktwo does came out of the woods he waited for a clear shot as i sitthere like a kid my self wandering if he was going to stop her then he did she stopped he shoots she went 15 yards piled up then i here hell ya as he must of forgot dad was right below him i never said a word as i have said to much already i dont know if he learned anything butol'e dad here learned alot

Tell your son congrats on a job well done! I got to watch my oldest boy take his first deer. It was more exciting watching him take that yearling doe than any deer I have ever taken before.
