RE: Virginia Hunters
Up here in Northern Va, they seem to be after the mast crop thats hitting the ground, not really hunting this early season. Not trying to spook any bucks before oct 4, but i am watching. There also starting to move alot now in the early evening, but especially in the early morning with the temp drop that started this monday. Its starting to feel like fall. calling for lows in the upper40s on friday.

Scouted all day on Saturday. The properties I hunt have a lot of white oaks dropping right now. The bucks are rubbing like crazy, but to my suprise glassing in the evening I had over 14 deer in one field and alot of deer scattered about in the other fields. So they still are using the fields, but i think there moving heavey in the timber all day with the acorns hitting the ground. there starting to get thick!! lots of food.
