I bought a Phantom Mini digital the year before IDNR made them illegal, it sounded pretty good. I still have it because I can swap the whitetail sound stick for a predator stick, elec. calls are still legal for predator hunting. The CD based calls are pretty good too, especially those featuring champion callers.

Electronic calls and decoys are legal in WI. per 2013 WI. deer hunting regs booklet.

I saw one once that was round and about the size of a softball. The instructions said to hang it from a nearby limb and flip the switch on. The thing was supposed to emit grunts like a whitetail buck. The guy behind the store counter let us hear it in action. LOL

It sounded like something........ but sure not a deer.

Illegal in PA also.

Not legal anywhere I hunt.

I tried it a few times. twice, the deer were spooked, and ran the opposite direction. All I saw was a white tail jumping away.

Why not just get a "true talker"for a lot less?

How long ago was that? I have been hunting for 20+ years and thought they had alwasy been illegal since I have been hunting in Indiana?
