Default Eagles

Just the other day i got home and looked out into the back yard and saw some eagles eating at a deer that had died just out side of my back yard. I am just wondering if anyone else has seen any around?

I see 2 regularly . But I live in Eastern NC. Near a swamp. Where are you?
Eatin a DEER! From what I' ve seen they won' t touch it unless its alive.
They used one as BAIT last year, just as you and I would for fishing. Now that was EDUCATIONAL!

Counted 32 on the Mississippi river 3 weeks ago, and was told by the wife that there was a count taken last week with 136 eagles on the river. They must have been heading north.

The only time I get to see an eagle anywhere near my location is when the family and I head up to Promised Land State Park for opening day of fishing. I have never seen one eat at a deer though it would not surprise me to see it.

The reason I have so many is that there is a big hog confinemnet unit about a half mile down the road and they hang around to eat the dead pigs that are throwed out. The ones around here pretty much depends on dead carcasses..

We don' t have any around here right now, all the lakes are still frozen. Since they mostly eat fish, we dont usually see them until about the end of the month. I live about 15 miles from the Mississippi, and its not rare to see them there off and on all winter.
