UV Dampening laudry detergent also can damage your camo to the point it starts to bleach them out.

Baking soda and scent killer...
Hunt the wind and don't move...

I remember when brighteners weren't in detergents, but are now demanded by the users of modern detergents.
Now if hunters started doing the laundries, we wouldn't have had the problem in the first place.

It may well be a "Gimmick" I have no Idea what a deer can or cannot see.
but a couple of my experiences have made a "Believer" out of me, I, like many others view most hunting or fishing products with a lot of skepticism
I have been hunting for many years & will admit, I have Fell for more than a few "Gimmicks". However, there are two products I have came to believe work. 1) UV Killer, 2) Drippers, (drippers work so well I think they should be illegal)l. As someone said earlier, using the wind is very important.That, coupled with concealment, (& florescent orange is hard to conceal) so take advantage of whatever you can, UV Killer is cheap, it might not do any good, but it can't do any harm, Good Luck.

I think its a gimmick, I have never used it and I have been just fine all of these years. But if it works for you, buy all means use it. That sucks that it bleaches your clothes over time though....

I agree, although I have never experienced any bleaching, I only treat the clothes after a wash, (& that isn't very often) Good Hunting to ya. Doc

Also keep out of sight -- don't skyline yourself by walking on ridge tops, avoid walking through openings, stick to the shadows...

I've used the sports wash,then I use baking soda the rest of the time.It's not like the brighteners are going to come back.

Spent way too much money and time with this product. Trust me it does not work for more than a few hours. Even sent clothing to Astro and had them treat it. Still does not work. Positive! Based on UV light testing before and after.
