buy another cheap used treestand and using some self tapping sheet metal screws, strategically attach a dozen or so utility knife blades in places where they would likely grab the stand.at first they won't feel the blades cutting, they'll just wonder where all the blood is coming from!!.not only will they not get that stand, but probably never touch another one ever!!!!

Yeah that would be a great one genius. How would you like something like that to happento one of your kids, nieces or nephews. Try using your head for something other than a hat rack sometime.

Sometimes, just sometimes, kids run around the woods and climb on stuff like that.

Welcome.

I hate thieves.!!! Last year I went to my stand for shotgun season in NY...on Thanksgiving morning to be exact....and walk in before dark and can't find my stand....but I was lucky enough that they left my safety rope and bow hook in the tree so I knew it was gone !!!

Shot that day of hunting in the foot
