No draw states?
Here in Ga anyone can buy a tag over the counter.We don't have a draw system.Is your state a draw state,or can anyone buy a tag?

In Illinois only residents can buy archery tags over the counter. Every thing else is by lottery...

Were i live in wisconsin you can just go down to the DNR and get your tags.

Indiana is all OTC except for military reservation and park reduction hunts.

All deer licenses are over the counter in WI.

All tags for deer are OTC here in Texas.

OTC in Idaho as well. You can also get leftover control hunt, non-resident and depredation tags OTC. Moose, Antelope, Goat, and Ram tags are draw.

No tags in Alabama or Florida, just buy your license.

Colorado is mostly draw only. There are some over the counter elk tags but deer and antelope are all draw.

In Mi we can just go purchase them from and authorized license agent....

PA is all over the counter, except ELK. But ther are only 30 tags a year, I think.

Arkansas licenses are over the counter except elk is by drawing.

Iowa is all OTC for residents, lottery for non-residents. Residents can get one any-deer license, then the antlerless tags are allotted by county, ranging from zero to 5800 per county for a total of about 135,000 antlerless tags.

TN is over the counter,except for WMA (wildlife mangement areas)...WMA is different from Public Land.

South Dakota is all by a lottery system. Rifle tags are allocated by county, and you can get an archery tags for either half of the state. Any deer tags are not very easy to come by, in fact I have gotten 5 I think and I have hunted 11 years...

Florida you dont really have tags atleast on private land, but WMA's are lottery which suck[:'(]

Virginia is OTC.
I also used to live in California and still hunt there, draw depends on the species and the quota. Some areas you can buy the tag the day of others you cant, its more of a first come first serve on deer. |

No Buck tags in FL for WMA's or Private.......On WMA's there is a lottery on Doe permits. On Private property your property has to ajoin to another 6oo acres of private property to kill Does....and only the family of the sole owner of said property can kill Does.

Here in Michigan its different by county. Some counties have draws and some over the counter. The county i hunt has always been over the counter until this year it changed to a draw. I asked the DNR what was happening, and they said that they were getting complaints because people hunting that county coudnt get tags. Everyone I know that hunts in that county got one, imo, thats just poor planning on thier part.
