Giant Bucks... Is he a Booner?

Big boy in the back ground.

My opinion at that glance is no. Tines don't look to be long enough. Beauty buck no doubt. My guess and it's obviously just a guess I would say 150's. SHoot him and let's find out. I hope I am wrong. Good Luck.

I think the one in front will score better than the one in the back.

I disagree but both are very nice bucks.

I rest my case!!! You call this deer hunting... I call it deer shooting... What would all you guys do if you didnt have fields, food plots and bait to hunt over

I know if it were me i'd take either one they both look mature and nice mass

Technically, I doubt he will be a "Booner" too many deductions. I too believe that front deer would score better. But IMO "nets are for fishing". Ifthey grow it... count it. I have the virtual "twin" that first buck that is 161 3/8" as a 10.
Good luck you should be pleased with either of those boys.:)

Read the caption on my website under hunting. "We do not utilize feeders, foods plots, mineral sites, or man made funnels." This picture is taken on the border of public land in Arkansas. The camera is under a licking branch in the corner of a hay field. I value the fair chase aspect of hunting more than most.

def. not a " booner "

RE: Giant Bucks... Is he a Booner?

Either one would be a booner in my book. Not much chance of seeing many bucks bigger than that in the area I hunt. I wonder if Mr. Longbeard uses any un-natural hunting items. As he must be a turkey hunter, maybe calls, camo, blinds and maybe a shotgun or bow while hunting turkeys? I gotta figure out what case he is making now.

No, he won't go B&C. Great buck nonetheless. Good luck.

Too hard to tell from the picture but 2 shooters either way:)

I dont think he's 170, but he is a wall hanger for sure.

Don't let Boone and Crockett determine a good buck. Either one of those bucks would be great to have on your wall. :)

pretty sure the question was " is he a booner? " Personally, unless with a bow, I'd let him walk. To each his own.

by looking at the pic he appears to be about 3.5 to 4.5 years old the chest doesnt hang down much but as far as letting him walk well i think i would shoot i just like venison

With a typically silly statement like that, who cares what case he's trying making? LB is noted for these outlandish outburst's.[:'(];) Not a Booner, but still a great buck.

If someone is fortunate enough to harvest one of these bucks. I will post pics and a green score. My guess on the bigger of the two is in the mid 160's. The other i think will be high 140" pushing 150".

the close on is a no, but the one in the background is a bruiser no doubt, he is big now and will get bigger after velvet

ghostbuckhunter 09-03-2008 03:04 PM

RE: Giant Bucks... Is he a Booner?

The bigger buck in the background will be high 160's pushing 170 gross, too many deductions though. Lets see him dead and hard horned.
