It takes a special kind of hunter to hunt down here. Snakes are almost an everyday occurance in the woods.....

You don't have to go that far South to have snake trouble during deer season. About 10 years ago the owner of the camp ground we used to stay at in Southern Illinois killed a rattlesnake coiled up next to our tent and this was in November.....it was a mild year. Not uncommon to reachthe 70's down there that time of year and the second season the first of Dec. I'm always caerfull stepping over logs, etc.

I was bitten once by a cotton mouth, and it sucks. I picked it out, but took a few seconds. I about got bit again this year while fishing a creek. I dont mind snakes, but when they catch you by surprise, they suck.

Are you serious? No it was not a brown water snake. It was a cotton mouth aka water mocison (sp).
