RE: Something To Watch For This Fall.
It takes a special kind of hunter to hunt down here. Snakes are almost an everyday occurance in the woods.....

RE: Something To Watch For This Fall.
You don't have to go that far South to have snake trouble during deer season. About 10 years ago the owner of the camp ground we used to stay at in Southern Illinois killed a rattlesnake coiled up next to our tent and this was in November.....it was a mild year. Not uncommon to reachthe 70's down there that time of year and the second season the first of Dec. I'm always caerfull stepping over logs, etc.

Well, I am one bit sucker ...... cause I didn't see it until I cheated with the answer pic....
But when they are 3 demensional in the woods, I have no problems picking them out. Thank God MET |
RE: Something To Watch For This Fall.
My friend shot me a timber rattler when we were down a camp a few weeks ago. that suck is huge, but only has 5 rattles so fairly young

I was bitten once by a cotton mouth, and it sucks. I picked it out, but took a few seconds. I about got bit again this year while fishing a creek. I dont mind snakes, but when they catch you by surprise, they suck.

RE: Something To Watch For This Fall.
Are you serious? No it was not a brown water snake. It was a cotton mouth aka water mocison (sp).
