Traditions pursuit 2 xlt muzzle-loader

Just picked one up, camo with nickle fluted barrel today. Bought a scope and ready for Kansas! Anyone else own one of these? I read abunch of reviews and they seem to be a great gun for the price. I really liked the way they are easy to clean.

I have shot the XLT for the last 2 seasons. You will not be disappointed. I put a Nikon Prostaff on it and shoot 100gr 777 behind a 240gr Hornady XTP. Very good accuracy and performance.

good luck.

I have had 2 traditions with the last being a pursuit. Have been more than happy with both rifles . I have however not been impressed with traditions customer support

How is the 150-200 yard accuracy with that load?

I should have one coming in the mail tomorrow as a matter of fact. They are great guns. In Field and Stream they were awarded the Best of the Best for 2008 muzzleloaders OVER the TC's

I shoot the Traditions pursuit xlt with the thumbhole stock in realtree hardwoodscammo. I'm telling you I couldn't be happier with the gun. I had thought about the TC's, but they aren't as good as the traditions IMHO.

I have made shots of 135 and 153 yards. Also have made shots as close as 10 yards. I have been very happy with the XLT and loads I detailed earlier in the thread. All but2 of 9 deer have dropped where they stood. None have gone farther than 50 yards. The Hornady XTP delivers a tremendous amount of terminal shock and yet retails down range accuracy. I have cosidered switching to the Horanady SST, but have been able to justify it yet.

Good luck

How much do you think it cost per shot to shoot your muzzleloader?
