RE: Whats your deer rifle?
I shoot a Winchester 70 in 270WSM with a Burris 4-14 Shortmag scope shooting some hand loads that my Dad makes up for me. I believe they are 150gr Hornady SST's with about 70gr RE 25 powder.

First shot - I have recently fallen in love with your 7600 in 7m-08. If you ever grow tired of it let me know. LOL

Well...all I can say to that is don't hold your breath. I've got it set up with leupold quick release rings with the main scope (the one in the pic)sighted in for 145Gr Speer HotCor's for open area hunting and the back-up scope (off my Rem MTN LSS) sighted in for Hornady 154Grn RN for woods hunting. Holds point of aim very well when switching scopes. I also have a red dot sight for it which I intend to sight in for the 154 RN's but just haven't gotten around to it yet.
Both the scopes are Burris 3-9x40 w/ballistic plex reticle so I'm good out to 300 Yds with either load. Probably wouldn't ever shoot anything over 200 Yds though unless conditions were perfect.
Long story short....the 7600 has become my "go-to" for everything and I just don't see myself ever getting rid of it.
