RE: Growth on Deer?
Should be, looks like a severe ear infection or something.

RE: Growth on Deer?
I have seen this before. I saw it on a buck and it would swell up and then go down, then swell up and go down. When it was shot it was swollen up and determined to be just a fatty growth.

RE: Growth on Deer?
I shot a yearling once that had a growth the size of a basket ball coming out of the front of its brisket, all the way over its left front sholder. when I shot it with the bow the thing exploded with pinkish fluid, when I went up to the animal it stunk real foul and was left for the crows. have not seen anything like since.

RE: Growth on Deer?
That is a fibroma. A form of benign tumor. supposedly harmless to people if you harvest a deer with one on it.

ORIGINAL: Remnard That is a fibroma. A form of benign tumor. supposedly harmless to people if you harvest a deer with one on it. As far as eating the meat, I would think there would be no problem. To be safe, check with your Fish and Game Dept for their input. |
