Default Who Would Pay $3500.00 For A Whitetail ?

I got this on a E-Mail.

IMB Outfitters has just signed a new 2000 acre tract of ground in Missouri. It has created 7 Missouri 1st Gun Openings 11-15 to 11-18 as well as some peak of the rut Archery Hunt dates.
These hunts will not last long. Tags are over the Counter at Walmart. The hunt costs $3500 per man however if you have a group of 6 hunters, the 6th hunter only pays for lodging.

This new tract of ground is brand new and is holding some Boone and Crockett Deer. Don’t hesitate as the last time we had these bookings they sold in 36 hours.

How much would you be willing to go on a Whitetail hunt like this?

I said $150 cause by the time I buy a tag and have it processed thats what it ends up costing me. I like where I hunt and all the work I do is a payoff in its own.

I won't pay to hunt, other than tags. I will not pay for a deer, nor will I lease land. If I can't hunt for what the state charges me I will just not hunt as much. I can't afford and won't pay that kind of money just to kill an animal. Over a thousand dollars buys an awful lot of meat. Sure I like doing it, but not enough that it's worth that kind of money, I'm not rich. I work with a guy that lives in Ohio but pays for out of state tags to hunt here in MI. And where he hunts isn't even 50 miles from where he lives. I just don't get it, out of state tags are pretty pricey here. And he lives right next to where I grew up, there are plenty of deer there.

I guess I'm just not as hardcore as some of you guys.

I'd pay $3,500 to hunt a fair chase ranch. They typically allow you a good sized buck, one of two does, a hog, and whatever coyotes you see.

I am with Paul. I checked $150 as that is about what it costs me for tags to hunt multiple seasons in my home state and the long archery season in the state next door.I will not pay that kind of money to hunt, i can't afford it. IMO that that adds to the commercilization of the sport, and that is bad for the sport.

I would NEVER pay to hunt other than the tag or maybe a lease but to pay to hunt on a ranch that is crazy. It isn't just about taking monster rack bucks. It's about putting in the time to scout, spend time in the woods and hopfully take a few deer out in the process but if I don't the season is not a total loss it spent alot of time out in nature with my sons and family. For me that is not what you get on a week or weekend hunt at a ranch. JMO.

Canned hunting. I will not pay $3500 for an animal that is abundant and I can take for free (not counting license's and other costs.)

$3500, isn't that the going rate for a 1 week prime rut bowhunt? and that's for a 150" class deer.

Tons of guys come to IL to do just that, I know they're paying over $1500 for a 1 week bow hunt, either way its expensive.

I have abundant hunting grounds, but if I didn't, the max I would pay is $1,000. I'm talking about a fair hunt with no fences of course. By the time you buy stands, feeders, and travel back and forth the $1k might be a bargain. There are a lot of hunters who don't get the benefit of private land or are forced to hunt crowded public land.

If a guy wants to buy a $5k watch and it doesn't harm his family, who am I to get upset? I think that same logic could beused toward anything, including hunting. However, in my current situation I wouldn't pay a dime.
