Own all 3 cal. I would prefer the 7-08 or the .308 over the .243. Now down to the other 2. The one and only determining factor that I would choose a 7-08 over the .308 is the lesser amount of recoil. Besides that they are pretty well equall to me.

.243
light recoiling, fast, flat shooting, super accurate. whats not to like.
Federal 80 gr speer. 3380 fps out the barrel.
Gonna try that load this year.
I tend to like smaller calibers.
.243, 25-06, 7-08 and .270 are the best whitetail cartridges in my opinion.
And a deer wouldnt know the difference when hit by either of these.

.243 I think I am going to get me one. Thats what the wife shoots. I love sighting it in. The recoil is great and the bullet is very accurate.

I have a .243 and .308. I prefer the .243. Fun to shoot, accurate, great for deer sized game, but also a great varmit rifle with 55gr balistic tips.
