I have 2 H&R USH's , 1-20gauge and 1-12gauge. I am currently shooting Federal with Barnes Tipped slugs.................... But I have also shot SST's and Remington Ultra Core Lokts which preformed flawlessly but I preferred to use the all copper bullet made by Barnes.............

thanks for the advice fellas, i was at gander mt. today and checked out the prices on the slugs because i still have to sight the scope in..those lightfields are pricey at alomost 16$ a box the sst's were 13$. im excited about using the gun this year, hopefully i get to use it..i usually tag out early during bow season!i am leaning towards the lightfields hybred elite "3" mag slugs!

RE: Slug-gun question
I have 2 of the H&R 12 Ga slug guns. I have tried many brands. I get best results with Hastings slugs.
see: www.slugsrus.com
I have spoke to the design engineer himself, they are a GREAT round.
They are a cheaper priced slug and if you buy them at: www.grafs.com
they are the most economical there, because they have a fixed one price shipping.
