Need Shooting Advice
hey guys, I just got into bowhunting last year, and i need a little advice on my hunting setup. I'm shooting a PSE carroll intruder bow with a 75 pound draw weight. my arrows are beman hunters fitted with 90 grain four blade muzzy broadheads. I like the lighter weight for flatter arrow flight, and I'm comfortable with shots up to fifty yards. my question is at longer ranges, will this light setup pack enough punch to get the job done? thanks for any advice

RE: Need Shooting Advice
Your fine. I shoot a Switchback with an arrow and broadhead weight of 510 grains. I shoot carbon express maxima 350's with muzzy 100 grain three blade broad heads. Shooting 75lbs gives you more than enough penetrating power at 50 yds. You could actually drop it a few lbs...

It might not be enough to shoot a cape buffalo. Other than that your arrows will stick in the tree on the other side just fine.

Deliver that b-head where it needs to be and you'll certainly have NO problems. Good luck and good shootin'

RE: Need Shooting Advice
You have more than enough power there! One thing I would question is the FOC on the arrow, that's a heavy arrow for a 90 grain BH. If its flying great out at long distances, then no problem, whatever works, but if you get "touchy" or inconsistent flight, I would suggest a heavier head or dropping arrow weight and a heavier head to get the FOC up.
